 The Government Affairs Committee drives HNCC’s advocacy efforts, shaping public policy nationally and at the state level. It collaborates with policymakers on initiatives like the Voluntary Departure and Reintegration Act, monitors political developments, and partners with other advocacy groups to enhance HNCC’s influence. The committee also keeps members informed about legislation impacting the construction industry. 

The Regulatory and Policy Committee advocates for regulatory changes benefiting Hispanic-owned construction businesses, addressing barriers like bonding, permits, and labor regulations. By collaborating with agencies and industry leaders, it promotes fair policies, increased capital access, and procurement transparency. The committee also supports initiatives like the   Hydrogen for Industry Act of 2024 and keeps members informed on relevant legislative updates. 

The Health and Safety Committee ensures Hispanic construction workers have safe workplaces and affordable healthcare access. It advocates for stricter safety standards, bilingual training programs, and partnerships with healthcare providers for mental health support. The committee also publishes HNCC’s quarterly Health and Safety Report, tracking trends and the impact of safety initiatives. 

The Sustainability and Innovation Committee promotes sustainable practices and technology integration in Hispanic construction. It advocates for grants to help firms adopt green technologies, offers training on renewable energy and efficient materials, and positions Hispanic businesses as sustainability leaders. The committee also publishes HNCC’s quarterly Innovation and Sustainability Report, tracking advancements in green construction. 

The Education and Training Committee is at the core of HNCC’s workforce development efforts. This committee oversees the implementation of HNCC’s exclusive training programs, such as the Protégé+ Mentorship Program and the Real Estate Development Course, while also working with local organizations to provide training on financial literacy, project management, and technical skills.
